Greaze’s Picks of the Week 10/29-10/31

Oklahoma @ Kansas State +14
I’m taking the points here, especially at home.  The Wildcats are undefeated with their toughest games to come.  They could possibly pull out a win considering OUs terrible performance at home last week, but with 2TDs I’ll take em for sure.  With a win, Collin Klein could enter the Heisman picture with some marquee matchups left on the schedule.

Iowa State @ Texas Tech -14
It may seem as if I am looking too much into Tech’s 41-38 victory at OU but this is more about how terrible Iowa State is on the road.  In two Big 12 road games this year they have lost by a combined 58 pts.  I like Tech to roll big at home over the Cyclones.

Virginia Tech -14 ½ @ Duke
The Blue Devils lost a heartbreaker last week against WF at home, while VTech cruised at home vs Boston College.  14.5 is a lot tougher than 14 on the spread but the Duke offense will struggle to get any points on the board.  Their best player last week looked like their backup QB who came in briefly and scored a touchdown.  The Hokies could limit Duke to less than 15 points.

Jacksonville @ Houston -9
The line started at 9 ½ and I think it’s going in the wrong direction.  Houston crushed Tennessee last week and with Andre Johnson potentially playing this week there is no reason to think they can’t roll again.  Jacksonville did take care of Baltimore last week in JAX, but Baltimore has now lost 3 on the road where they look lost.  Mojo is struggling to find the endzone and hold on to the ball, he’s their offense—that’s not a good sign for JAX. Houston big.

Washington @ Buffalo -5 ½
The Redskins roll into Buffalo with questions at WR, QB and RB.  WR Moss is lost for at least 6 weeks, RB Hightower is lost for the season and who knows who Shannahan will go with at QB.  The Bills however will be rested off of a bye week and come in with a healthy Fitzpatrick, Jackson and Johnson.  Bills can win by a TD.

Detroit -3 @ Denver
Detroit is coming off a tough loss at home to the Falcons and don’t want to go into their bye week with a loss.  Their angry defensive line would love nothing more than to face Tebow, and shut him up.  Tebow looked absolutely terrible for most of the game last week and without a successful onside kick the Broncos would have lost to a team that is trying to lose.  McGahee is out as well, doesn’t look good for DEN.  No miracles this weekend, Lions win.
